Erica received her undergraduate degree in English from Yale and an MFA from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Her fiction has been featured in, among other publications, Hobart, Flyway (Best of the Net nominee), and Juked. She has nonfiction forthcoming from Meridian, which named  her work as a finalist in their Short Prose Contest. Her memoir-in-progress (THE SOFT PARTS) was long-listed for the PANK Magazine Book Prize. An excerpted version received an honorable mention in the Ninth Letter 2020 Literary Awards, and was listed as a semi-finalist in CutBank’s Annual Chapbook Contest.

Erica has received fellowship and grant support for her work from the Martha’s Vineyard Institute of Creative Writing and the Vermont Studio Center. A native of New Orleans, she now lives with her family in Evanston, Illinois.
