Erica received her undergraduate degree in English from Yale and an MFA from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Her work has appeared in journals such as Mississippi Review, Meridian, Chicago Review, and Hobart. Her memoir-in-progress (THE SOFT PARTS) was long-listed for the PANK Magazine Book Prize. An excerpted version was named a Mississippi Review Prize Finalist, received an honorable mention in the Ninth Letter 2020 Literary Awards, and was listed as a semi-finalist in CutBank’s Annual Chapbook Contest.
Erica has received fellowship and grant support for her work from the Martha’s Vineyard Institute of Creative Writing and the Vermont Studio Center. A native of New Orleans, she now lives with her family in Evanston, Illinois.
